It is our pleasure to announce the first student-organized symposium in plant sciences, entitled “Plant Stress”. The symposium will be held on February 17th, 2016, at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. This conference is organized entirely by students, to enable exposure to and direct interaction with young scientists in the field of plant science.

Inspired by the vast diversity in the field, the conference has been designed to span a wide range of current themes on stress in plant science. A team of inspiring speakers will be joining us, covering topics such as plant ecology, physiology, metabolism, signaling, and genetics, under changing environments. Participants will also have a chance to present their own research in a special poster session and a series of short talks, and to discuss common interests in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The conference is free-of-charge for academics and non-academics alike. However, registration is required so that we can properly prepare for the amount of participants.

We hope that this meeting will be a wonderful platform for research updates, discussions and new opportunities.

Looking forward to seeing you,

The organizing committee
